MAN-MADE MATERIAL OPTIONS

Ceramic and porcelain tiles are the most common of all tiles made. They come in many different sizes as well as an infinite amount of styles and colours.

  • Glazed bisque tile is used in interior applications only. Floor and wall tiles are available. Popular for residential tiling and light commercial use.

  • There are two options: glazed porcelain bisque and full-bodied porcelain. These tiles can be used on floors, walls and countertops. Glazed porcelain can be used in residential and light commercial projects. Full-bodied porcelain can be used in residential, commercial, water areas and even exterior applications where the texture of the finish is safe for the climate conditions.

  • Typically used only for decorative wall applications because it can be scratched; it is definitely moisture resistant. This allows the location of the application to be quite open to personal taste and budget. Residential or commercial.

  • Metal tiles are moisture resistant but can scratch easily. Application location is important for this type of unique tile. Residential or commercial.

  • A durable tough tile traditionally used in commercial kitchens. Because of its porous nature it has pros and cons. It stains easily but sealing the tile can help prevent some staining. On the other hand, it can be used as a baking stone for breads because of its porous nature.

  • Listellos, pencil liners, chair rails, sink caps, inserts and decorative mosaics come in many different sizes and prices for many budgets. Different ways of using them can make the common look amazing.
